Online Therapy

You know what you need, but it seems so far out of reach.

Your therapy is important to you. You know that, but how can you get to your session when life is crazy busy?

Your day is already packed – you can’t take extra time off to get to your session, and New York’s unpredictable traffic and subway system only add to the problem.

Combine that with the demands of your family and kids, the cost of childcare, the frustration of canceling at the last minute when the babysitter doesn’t show up –

Therapy is supposed to relieve your stress – not compound it.

But there’s a solution: the virtual world.

It’s the perfect option for busy professionals, parents, and students. Instead of scheduling a two-hour (minimum) block of time to come and go, you can enjoy your therapy anytime, anywhere.

No more worrying about whether the sitter will arrive on time or whether you’ll miss the train or taxi – now, you can fit that session in between meetings, classes, homework, and other personal obligations.

Online therapy works with YOUR schedule!

You may even prefer it.

Sometimes, it just feels better in your chosen environment – rather than an office setting.

Snuggled up on the couch or in your comfiest chair, relaxing in your cozy pajama pants, sipping your favorite tea or coffee near you, cuddling your fur baby, you may feel much more at ease in sharing what’s on your mind.

It also helps with scheduling – sometimes it’s impossible to make it to an office at night or in the mid-afternoon, but because I have a flexible schedule, online therapy allows us to have your session when it’s right for YOU.

And it’s safe, simple, and secure.

I connect virtually through Zoom or Google Meets. I will send you a new link for every session at session time to ensure a private connection.

You don’t have to worry about putting yourself or others at risk for COVID-19, and you can still have your session from home, even if you’re not feeling well or perhaps recuperating from a sickness.

During the pandemic, I conduct all sessions virtually. Though I intend to offer in-person sessions at some point, I’m comfortable staying virtual for the moment because it’s a great way to connect without any worries about spreading the disease, with or without vaccination.

Getting the Most from Your Online Session

Make sure you’re in a comfortable, private location, where you don’t have to worry that others will overhear. Once you’re comfortable with your seating, you’ll feel free to speak about everything going on with you.

Check to ensure a good Internet connection. Nothing’s more frustrating than talking about a painful issue while dealing with a bad connection.

Put your phone on silent and set it away from you, so you don’t receive email notifications while in session. Turn off all other technology, as well. We want to eliminate all distractions and place all the focus on YOU.

Hop on your device a few minutes before session. Sometimes, you may experience Internet issues, your device has decided not to work well, or its charge is low, etc. Getting online a few minutes before session helps you take care of any issues in advance so that we can take advantage of your full 45 minutes.

Don’t let anything keep you from getting the help you need.

With online therapy, you can have me at your service whenever and wherever you want.
